HomeWhat We DoWhy We Do ItGet SupportContact

We are a nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors of violent crime, including but not limited to domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Our mission is to ensure survivors always have an advocate beside them during critical moments of crisis, investigation, or legal proceedings as their case moves through the court system.

When a survivor attends court, we accompany them to the proceedings and sit next to them at counsel table as they give testimony. Before and after court, we provide confidential, trauma-informed advocacy, and we operate with the empowerment of survivors as our priority and focus.

We are not a law firm, and we are not law enforcement. We are advocates, and we walk beside survivors, from crisis to court.

Confidentiality

Communications with advocates serving domestic violence, sexual assault, or human trafficking survivors are privileged and confidential, protected by California Evidence Code §1037 and §1035.2.

Communications outside those statutory categories are still kept confidential by agency policy, though they may not receive the same evidentiary privilege if subpoenaed.
